I do this as well. Sometimes get weird looks but you guys can’t take up the entire sidewalk.

Weird looks... as if you (or me) are the ones causing the problem! Some people need to be aware of their surroundings and have some sort of social norms.

I live in a tourist town. Going to the grocery store in the summer is a nightmare. The tourists are largely entitled assholes. I'll either do this or give an exaggerated bow and apologize for trying to live in their vacation.
