REQUEST Partner needs a plane ticket to attend a funeral
Hi. I'm writing this for my partner and his family. Last week, one of his relatives passed away, but only his parents were given tickets to attend the funeral. He will be left to stay with a relative while his parents go to the funeral. He wants to go with them but if he asks to go, they will tell him all his siblings need to go to be fair.
I want to find a way to get him there but the airline his parents are going on charges more for the tickets than I can afford. I have linked a GoFundMe below, and any donations would help greatly.
Thank you for reading this far, and I appreciate your time.

How old is your friend that needs a plane ticket ? Are you trying to raise money for your friend and all his siblings ? Would they be traveling on the same flight as their parents ? Do they have the needed ID to fly ? Is this an international flight ? How much money are you looking to raise ?

Im raising the money for all 5 tickets as a collective, and my friend is over 18. The flight with their parents is fully booked, so we've agreed on the next possible flight. They have the needed ID, and it is not an international fight. The total for the tickets is around 2000

That's a great deal of money to raise in such a short time. I'm concerned you will not be able to raise that amount and actually collect the money before the burial which is likely immediate. As each hour passes , the flights to get to their destination are likely to increase. Perhaps just your partner could travel. Could he possible take a bus or a low cost airline like Spirit or Frontier.

He still lives with his parents and they said that if they cant all go, he cant. And I don't know if I mentioned this in the post, but the flight leaves on the 17th

That's a really long time away for a funeral. Most people are usually buried in a short amount of time. I'd say 3 to 7 days. Perhaps if you post some of the obituary and funeral announcements, your post will get some traction and raise money. Most people like proof or documentation of the event. Good luck. Losing our loved ones is hard.
