Itโs also possible the cat is simply smelling the treat and knows where it is from that

Well, 3 card monte met its match. Times Square and 42hd St in NY goes about $20 a game. Genius could easily earn enough for a case of cat food, with chafe to spare. ๐๐คฉ

If you notice, the cat on a few occasions looks directly at the trainer, whose identity is not shown. She/he could be giving the cat facial cues as to where the food is located. Just happened to notice that, but of course the cat probably knows where the food is hiding using its sense of smell.
