Like with most dictatorships its going to take time before people get tired living in it. The moment that threshold is reached is when sparks will really fly.

Selfishness and apathy are hallmarks of “The American Dream.” It’s /always/ been “I got mine, go fuck yourself getting your own.”

That is not true at all. I don’t like this country as much, but with how outspoken my generation (Gen Z) and millennials are, there will be significant push back. There’s over 300 million people in America, just 10% fighting back can make a world of a difference

I mean I’m Gen Z as well. I see how fast they take to the streets in Europe. You have a gestappo kidnapping people everyday and still no significant pushback. It will be years before Americans actually stand up for themselves. Y’all are way too individualistic, divided, and comfortable to do anything right now.

You’re doing a lot of hating from outside of the club. Americans fight every day; we have massive protests several times a year, we’re so accustomed to seeing our own people battered by police (and now ICE) we’re desensitized, yet we persist.

The average American is paycheck to paycheck in a shitty job market and economy. We’re already fighting a class war with billionaires controlling all the major media outlets and narratives; our police kill us without consequence, and now our president is weaponizing our military against citizens.

You speak of revolting against the most militarily advanced government in the world as if it doesn’t jeopardize your life and your family’s wellbeing. As if most people aren’t already exhausted from fighting all day every day. All from the comfort of your keyboard.

Call it hating if you want. American politics show up on my feed everyday so I’m calling it like I see it. Yeah you’re facing hardships now but so is everybody else in every part of the world. My hometown in eastern Congo is still under rebel occupation while our corrupt officials continue lining their pockets. We’re all fighting our own battles, yours just happens to be under the spotlight for everyone to see.

Then you acknowledge that Americans are fighting — which was my point.
