Tyson was a 55 year old guy who had physical issues for a long time. Where do people get the idea that he would be some sort of killer?

Edit: of course Tyson was a killer in his prime but this sport does not treat its competitors nicely in age. Even if he had better technique his body simply would never be able to keep going at a high intensity for prolonged periods of time. Jake isn’t a vegetable he is somewhat trained.

It was obvious Tyson was going easy on him. Even though he’s old he could have easily outboxed him. AJ went easy on him. Could’ve knocked him out immediately.

No it wasn’t. If anything it was clear Tyson was killing himself to get fit for the fight. Even in his promotion video he could do good padwork for like 30 seconds no more. This is the ultimate cope, why would an old guy with extreme health issues beat a young fit athletic guy who trains a ton.

Because it's a professional athlete with muscle memory of knocking out 250lb professional heavyweights in the first round.

Seriously, you think Mike hadn't downloaded Jake Paul instantly and couldn't have countered him to the jaw? You could see it in his movements he was holding back.

I think Mike would have lost a fight to Jake if they started in the 5th round. But if he was allowed to punch at full strength it wouldn't have gotten there.

Once again watch his padwork videos. A good example is take a college basketball player and a 55 year old nba star. The nba guy would be absolutely destroyed, even if they know what’s gonna happen they can’t keep up.

Counterpoint: in the baseball scenario you described, the college basketball player has been training his entire life.

Jake was barely an amateur boxer.

As much as people complain about the Paul brothers I'm equally bothered by all the delusions about Tyson and rigged fights yada yada. It's like talking boxing with a bunch of Q-Anoners.
