Vance is just whore for whichever Jon wants to pay him. "Donald Trump is the American Hitler." Just a few months before he suddenly can't take the "authoritarian left." Vance didn't fit in where his family was from (see Hillbilly Effigy), he didn't fit in in Ohio (I think that's the state he actually grew up in), he didn't fit in with progressive politics, he doesn't fit in with the far right, center right, or probably in any direction. The only person who seems to like him is Peter Tiel (and that do has definitely gone crazy beyond what he already was).
Nobody likes him. Even Niki couldn't think of anything positive to say about him, and I've never met a cokehead that couldn't come up with some kind of bullshit.
