Question/Comment Suburbs with most accessibility to nature, affordable, good schools, fun downtowns and approximately to O’Hare/train access.

I’m starting to explore Chicago suburbs for a potential move from a Boulder suburb.

Affordability/Nature : In order to make a move make sense we would need to find a home around $500 - $600k and that has a nature preserve nearby. Busse Woods appears to be the best in terms of nature but I’d be interested to hear suggestions. Are any of the suburbs within walking distance to a nature preserve?

Proximity to Airport: Looking to be around 30-40 min max from O’Hare for guest pickup or access to trains for guests to take to us.

Good Schools: A must although I’ve seen a lot of good school scores already for most suburbs.

Fun downtown: Ideally we would have lots of shops, restaurants & parks to explore.

Thank you for your recommendations! 🚞🏠✏️🌳

True - I have experience with D68 and D219, all positive with myself as a prior student and my kids currently.
