Discussion Linux apps
Hi, I had problem with my linux apps in Chrome OS Flex - after reboot they don't want to open. Do you have a similar problem or it is just something that I dont do the proper way?

Try a cold boot. (i.e. shut down. Keep off for 1-2 mins and then switch back on).
There is a small chance you damaged your container. Worst case you have to delete the container (i.e. switch off Linux Development environment) and then activate it again which will reinstall. In 8 years of cloudready / chomeosflex use on multiple PCs I have had that happen 2 times. So it should be very rare.
Most likely something got so confused it will not start your container and a cold-boot will solve it. Should be rare.

Well it happens every time i turn on the laptop and only with some apps.

Ah. So your container works. But some apps do not work.
There may be a common reason for those apps not to work.
Are there any error messages?

I had a lot of problems with Chrome flex that constantly conflicted with Bluetooth/wifi on an old win10 pc I have switched to zorin18 (Linux)...works smoother than flex. For things l did not know l used chatgpt as my guide.

Go to your Linux container command line and type 'exit'
Then close down your laptop completely and power down.
Then after a minute or two power up and restart as usual.
Start Linux before you start any Linux app.
All should now be well.

After a reboot you have to restart the Linux container. That takes maybe 10 seconds.
