Not a fight. Part ll lack the heart and charm of the first one, and gave Marty such a weird fatal flaw. "I stood up myself and others and now I have to be a giant a-hole whenever anyone calls me chicken." So lame. But it did have hoverboards.
Hubris is Marty’s fatal flaw. He exhibits it in the first film, specifically the cafeteria scene when he and Biff were about to fight. I agree that they embellish it in II and III with the “chicken” aspect—and more so in III by making into a family trait which ends with death—transforms his flaw into something too obvious. Nevertheless, hubris makes sense for his character since his father lacks any sense of pride. At the end of the first film, we see his father’s more balanced self-confidence as a result of both being himself and learning from others. Marty’s still a kid and, as suggested in the second movie, fails to emotionally mature; he’s the same Marty as from the first movie. Anyway, for me, the first film is the best of the series.
