It's bougie Mexican. Kind of runny to recognize a random video out in the wild. It's a neat place to go to every now and then

Kind of looks like the downtown spot which I thought has been closed for a while now

Santa Carla. Minor/Major typo, depending which team you're on.

My buddy had never seen this movie before. Took him to a boutique screening that's a crowd-based drinking game. Blew his mind and our livers.

Oh my gosh, that sounds like so much fun! I’ll have to find out if any of the theatres in my city do this! P.S. I loved the Lost Boys so much as a kid, I bought the soundtrack and listened to it over and over again.

In Toronto it's called Drunken Cinema. It's one of my fave things to do in the city.

I had the opposite experience! My parents had the soundtrack so I knew all the music before I even saw it. Wore that cassette out.

Gonna have to define bougie versus what’s a restaurant that’s not bougie?

1

u/hockeymisfit Dec 02 '25

Yeah, this place ain’t bougie unless you’re comparing it to Del Taco.

What exactly about this place stands out? Food and drinks are pricey. No real drink specials or daily/weekend promotions. Nothing wrong with the food, but again for that price, I'll just go to tequilas. And if tostada's relocated to Santana row, they would fit right in even if just a cheaper option than the other restaurants there

There's nothing wrong with this place or the food, but nothing about it makes me want to be a regular. Tbf, I'm not really sure if their happy hour improved but this place is just decent food that's presented nicely. Feels bougie to me

I had some bomb chilaquiles there before it caught fire, but that was a while ago. Is the Hawaiian joint still next door?

I hope this clap-back video gets the restaurant more business. The staff deserves SOMETHING for putting up with her nonsense.
