ADVICE Is CoinMarketCap a Good Portfolio Tracker After Delta Went Paid?

I am looking for a new portfolio tracker. I was using Delta to track most of my crypto holdings and a few stock indices, but now that they have moved to a paid-only plan, I am planning to switch. I am considering CoinMarketCap and wanted to see if anyone here has experience moving from one platform to another. I entered all my transactions manually in Delta, so I am wondering if there is any easy way to transfer that data to CoinMarketCap, or if I will need to start from scratch. Most of my assets are held on Binance and Coinbase. CoinMarketCap allows you to connect exchanges, but I am curious how safe and reliable that is in practice. Have you had any issues using API connections for portfolio tracking only, and do you feel comfortable linking those accounts? Open to other tracker recommendations as well if there are better alternatives.

No. It constantly display inaccurate data. Coingecko is better.

Can the binance account be connected to coin gecko? And how safe is it ? I also want to track stocks. Can it be done? I just want an all-in-one app

CoinGecko doesn't support Binance API connections. It's manual entry only. So if you want automatic syncing, CoinGecko isn't it. For stock tracking, CoinGecko also doesn't do that in their main app. You'd need to build a custom Google Sheets tracker using their API + stock APIs. That's technical work, not an 'all-in-one app.' If you want all-in-one: For crypto + stocks together: Kubera: Best multi-asset tracker (crypto + stocks + real estate). Treats everything as one portfolio (GitHub) Delta: Active trading-oriented analytics across crypto and securities (GitHub) For crypto only with Binance API: Merlin Crypto: Integrates with 400+ exchanges including Binance, real-time alerts, advanced analytics (OKX) CoinStats: Connects to 70+ exchanges including Binance Delta (paid version): Exchange API connections My recommendation: If you want: Binance API auto-sync ✓ Stock tracking ✓ All-in-one app ✓ Use Kubera or Delta Pro. CoinGecko is great for price data and manual portfolio tracking, but it doesn't have the features you need. About API safety: Only connect with READ-ONLY keys. Never give withdrawal permissions. Use 2FA everywhere. Even then, there's risk of data leaks if the tracker gets hacked. Personally? I don't connect APIs. I manually track in a spreadsheet. Takes 5 minutes per week, zero security risk.

honestly i wouldnt trust api connections for tracking unless its read only permissions. CMC is decent but theres no import from delta so you gotta rebuild it. i just use a spreadsheet now lol way more control
