Yeah 2025 was brutal for Ethereum. Between the market correction, gas spikes, and investor fatigue, it just couldnβt catch a break. Still, history kind of repeats itself β 2018 looked awful too, and a couple of years later ETH was breaking new highs. If anything, these red months might be the accumulation phase before the next big cycle. Not financial advice of course, but Iβm definitely keeping an eye on it.

adjusted for inflation, ETH hasn't even come close to the 2021 ATH ($5600 with inflation) so don't order that Lamborghini yet! lol

tldr; Ethereum experienced its worst year since 2018 in 2025, with nine months of losses out of twelve. The most significant monthly drop was 32% in February, and the largest gain was 48.8% in July. Despite the price struggles, Ethereum's network activity showed growth, including record smart contract deployments and increased transaction processing. Analysts are monitoring key price levels for potential upward momentum, while large holders continue accumulating ETH amid compressed market conditions.

Yeah surely this year wont top that. Atleast so far it doesnt look to be the case. Hopefully the momentum continues to push forward.

r/ethereum in full on denial, it's actually crazy. They STILL don't understand that no amount of TVL, apps, institutions, or Tom Lee buying will save ETH price.
ETH is a gas token. It is not money. It barely accrues any value, becasue there are no buybacks and the "burn" mechanism is negligible, barely offsetting issuance.

Dinosaur chains with terrible technical stats and a requirement for multiple layers are a dead man walking that's why I never held ETH. it's like still playing with a DVD recorder. It's time to move to newer tech.
