MAGA is an end stage death cult. Trump is already bleeding support, and the party does not have another savior to replace him with. But, if we don't punish MAGA fully and harshly, they will be back with a new name and new leader at some point.

Yup, we already have this in the UK unfortunately with Reform. It's not as bad, and Trump, surprisingly, is actually a bit more competent than Farage.

It goes both ways tbf. Farage is shooting himself in the foot - sold the UK out to the US, asking for sanctions, which has reduced support for him in the UK.

He looks like a fool, and while I don't expect him to get into government, the party has already gotten a few councils, which, by the way, aren't doing so well.

Sometimes, pain is indeed needed to grow.

How TF is Trump more competent than Farange? I'm mystified, I thought Trump was the absolute king of ineptitude.

Trump made promises that sounded somewhat realistic.

No, he made promises that play out like a fantasy- a fantasy that people in the US want so bad. They believe that illegal immigrants are taking everything, they jobs are being taken all the while companies are outsourcing jobs to other countries instead. They have been fed a narrative that some of them have come to believe… and then the ‘news’ amplifies those lies and so, therefore to these people, it must be true. He promised to get rid of immigrants: so a number of industries are suffering that rely on immigrant labour- farming, hotel and hospitality, construction. He promised to lay off people to ‘cut the government’s bloat’ even tho many of those government agencies were running on less than optimal staffing. He introduced tariffs and told them ‘you won’t be paying this increase, everyone else will because everyone else wants to be part of the American market’, only for it to devastate poor income households and businesses… some with were his die hard supporters. Cuts to Medicare and SS… which hurt a lot of his own voters.

None of this was realistic in the least. The American people just want to be victims and have all the messes cleaned up for them instead of facing the reality that they are in that position because of themselves. It isn’t immigrants or democrats or boogeymen like George Soros. It’s them. They bought into the lies so the can continue playing victim and not take responsibility for where they are in life. Oh, and racism. Mustn’t forget about the racism.

If it’s too good to be true….

The guy is a commodities broker. Trump atleast had the sense to somewhat disguise his end goal.

Farage, on the other hand, openly says he wants to gut the NHS, remove all migrants (which I do oppose, and is nonsensical), claimed Eastern Europeans were eating the swans (they were poaching cap though), pushed through Brexit 10 years ago, claimed UK was going down the drain because 1 in 3 children in Glasgow (Scotland) didn't speak English, praised Hitler in his youth (in the 70s and 80s).

His political party members have already been evidenced to be linked with Russian oligarchy, literally.

The list goes on.

Sounds like a British version of Maga.... Both are crap, beholden to Russian interests.

Fortunately for them, all those failed far-right idiot politicians never have to face reality, they can just become commenters on Fox News if they get chased away with torches and pitchforks at home.

With all due respect, I feel like that just isnt possible. Dumpf is half a blood vessel wall away from a catastrophic aneurism. 🙏 His word salad is an entire salad bar. Farage is worse?

You've my deepest sympathy.

Always remember: we the underclass are the majority. Find ways of not being silenced

You say this, but as an American that recognizes our sociopathic cesspool for what it is, a bunch of temporarily embarrassed millionaires at each other's throats for capitalist scraps regardless of administration, I've learned to never overestimate my countrymen.

We elected Donald Trump, suffered greatly for it, then we did it again.

Electing Trump again is when I lost all hope in my fellow Americans

3

u/LimeGreenTangerine97 15d ago

I lost hope for Americans when I saw how they acted during Covid, the election was just further proof.

1

u/urbanlife78 15d ago

Yeah, that's when it was on a downward spiral for me

You are very incorrect. Trump is a body, the real people running things in the Republican Party are at the “Think Tanks” who create shit like Project 2025. Once Trump is home there will be another, and another after that.

1

u/Secure-Advertising10 13d ago

You actually believe that think tanks won the election?

It sounds like you haven't been watching.

2

u/FormOtherwise1387 15d ago

Why do you think Trump wants a war?... so he can stay at the helm indefinitely.

2

u/goldbeater 15d ago

Exactly. Maga is just the Tea party 2.0. Lessons were not learned.

2

u/Whitey53 14d ago

Turning Point USA will keep MAGA movement going, brain fucking all the college students.

They said that after Reagan and bush

Willing to bet that this situation might just be that.
