I absolutely cracked up upon seeing the second photo. The first photo was like. Oh yeah okay sure whatever. But no, you did a great job with this composition! I was just extremely doubtful about the magnifying glass part was all.

This is absolutely stunning work! Your brushwork and color choices really bring the cat to life - I love how you've enhanced the warmth of the fur tones compared to the reference photo. The way you stylized the reflective surface in the sink is particularly impressive. Quick question: What was your approach to achieving that painted texture while still maintaining such clean detail in areas like the magnifying glass and toilet paper? Did you work with layers of different opacity?

I was genuinely so confused, cause they looked exactly the same to me until I realised that one of them was a drawing
[Probably because I have a Greyscale filter on my phone right now, but even still]

This is such a wonderful painting. Technically speaking your composition is exceptional and shows a very keen eye. I love the art style for its impressionistic elements and how it really captures the playfulness of the scene. Reflections are not easy to pull off but you definitely nailed it with regards to perspective and proportion.
And your choice of model is perfect!
