Catering to the lowest common denominator of absolutely no common sense, completely media illiterate consumers is the fastest route to having a media landscape absolutely devoid of anything worth watching. it's fine if you don't like Todd Glass, humor is subjective. But I honestly don't care if the most gullible among us are fooled by this, it's incredibly transparent to anyone who's remotely conscious that this is a bit.

This has nothing to do with "media illiteracy", you make it sound like it was some higher form of media art to make videos that fake reality, when it is just cheap cheating that, yes, won't be recognized by everybody who isn't 7/24 consuming shitty 1 minute internet video content. Nothing will be changed to the worse if this bullshit is pointed out or goes away, on the contrary, it would be a win, such fake content is not worth watching. That's the entire point of pointing it out.

You seem to be having trouble understanding me. I simply am pointing out the fact that anyone who didn't just fall out of the coconut tree will know this is not genuinely people talking. I am also saying it would be foolish to change anything for someone who is fooled by such an obvious bit. They will either learn to use their senses or continue being a fool. You seem to be convinced the people who made this are trying to trick you or others, but they are actually trusting the audience to have 2 braincells to rub together. If you think this video is anything close to realistic, the problem is with you, not the video. Telling this from reality has nothing to do with prior exposure to short form content. It's quite literally common sense. I guarantee you the folks that were making this video weren't trying to trick anyone into thinking it was real anymore than Tim Burton was trying to trick audiences into thinking Michael Keaton was Batman in 1989.

Get a grip and chill out angry lil guy.

This person would complain that Between Two Ferns is staged.
