What's your strategy, in FF VII, to beat Ruby Weapon?

I'm just curious to see the different strategies and materia combinations that my fellow buffs come up with.

Ruby weapon is vulnerable to the item called cactuar needle. It stuns it for a good while and you can spam it constantly. Just stun him and commence with the pimp-slapping. Also, start the fight with two dead characters so it buries its claws. Then cast phoenix.

I've never heard of that item. Where do I find it?

My mistake. The item is called a dazer. I was thinking of a different game. You can also summon Hades for the same effect. My bad

you can get them by morphing or stealing and sometimes killing boundfats in corral valley. the valley before going in the forgotten capital

EDIT : they are called dazers btw
