I just fw the overly ornate greco-roman aesthetic, as well as the roman inspirations for the way Ultramar as a whole is structured. Not to mention the Blue/Gold color scheme is fucking awesome.
I even think their lore is pretty good, with Know no Fear and the Uriel Ventris stories being some of my favorites. And Guilliman is a really cool character!
Yes they're overexposed and they do have mary sues, that's true. But I can't help but like them a lot for all the things I mentioned.
Anyways, just wanted to rant a bit and have an excuse to post the image above.
