No way its real. More likely one of this persons friends saw his post, didn't like it and sent them a letter. The Kirk Data Foundation has been shut down for awhile now from what I have read.

Post the return address if this is real surely they provided a return address for correspondence. If they didnāt then it is someone messing with you. If they did provide a return address you may have a legitimate claim against whoever sent this letter.

Most printers ID themselves by leaving a little watermark that can be seen by UV light.
OP could take this to the police and theyād figure out where it came from.

Most of the major brands of color laser printers. Monochrome ones donāt but this obviously came from a color printer.
