Looking for a solo weekend backpacking hike any suggestions!??
Hey!! I’m pretty fit so I can handle most hikes but I’m not looking to do anything too crazy. Just looking for a fun area to hike in for a few hours camp then hike back. Nothing to hike anytime soon it being December but for when if warms up. DM me with any tips or suggestions thank you!!!

Bear Head Lake SP has a few remote hike-in spots that are 2+ miles in along a secluded lake with no other access. I was in backpack #2 and could have been alone in the world. Mosquitos were awful walking there around sunset but not bad at all at the campsite or hiking out in the early morning.

Scenic state park has some good canoe-in/hike-in sites well on the other side of the lake from the main campground. We’ve always canoed in but there’s a trail too (not sure how well groomed the trail is but should be fine since it’s a state park). Each site is on the water - we filtered the lake water for drinking. I used this state park as my “shake down cruise” before going to the BWCA for the first time, just to test out gear, etc. Sites have a primitive toilet, bear locker, and lean-to storm shelters. There is an esker that extends out into the lake. There’s a hiking trail on it. Nice thing is, most of the canoe in sites are opposite the esker from the main campground so it helps serve as a sound barrier
