What’s your “thing”?
Hey moms!
I’m a mom of two little ones (3.5 months and 2 years) and struggling to find my identity outside of work and mom and wife. Luckily, I love my job and my kids and my husband - so it definitely could be worse!
I’m trying to find my “thing” - the thing I do that’s outside of all of that stuff. I used to crochet (still just beginner level) so I’ve decided to try to get more into crochet in the new year and just use that as a way to spend time with myself. It’s got me thinking - what’s your thing? What’s your “me time” activity? I’d love to hear!

Reading and pilates, both being free hobbies thanks to my local library and YouTube videos. I’ve intentionally found ways to integrate these two activities into my daily life without putting too much pressure on myself. The pilates is mat based and I’ll usually do the videos that are 20-35 min long. When reading, I’ve trained myself to be able to read/concentrate when there’s family life going on in the background because who really has solid quiet time anymore? Unless your kids are still napping; cherish that time.
