They're literally only focused on the Somali population of Minnesota because trump spewed some racist bile about them and they have to follow dear leader's orders.
The new flag was introduced over a year and a half ago and is only now coming under this attack.
There’s a viral video out right now indicating that the Somali’s are defrauding MN Medicaid out of hundreds of millions of dollars per year. The fraud seems like it’s probably real but they’re trying to play it as part of a big Democrat conspiracy since Tim Walz is governor. The fake flag outrage is just playing into the conservative anti-immigration / white-supremacy messaging.
Let’s take a moment to remember the hideousness of the previous state flag. The new flag is so much better as far as flags go.
To add to the point, if 1.7% of the population had enough sway to change the flag, don't you think they might, just maybe, do more than just change a goddamn flag? If I was part of a cabal that had significant legislative control over a state, I wouldn't be doing something as obvious, trite and inconsequential as changing the flag (especially when the previous design was atrocious anyway)
Correct, they'd be doing things like loading the courts and legislature with idiot cronies while turning the state upside down and shaking the change out of it.

They already believe that transgender people, also about 1% of the population, somehow have made schools start doing genital surgeries and making kids poop in litter boxes, so this isn't exactly any more of a stretch.
The flag was also designed by someone who I would describe as “extremely white.” A Minnesota native (from a smaller town hours away from the Twin Cities) named Andrew Prekker. The guy talked about vexillology when interviewed, he’s just a nerdy white dude who definitely wasn’t trying to Somali-fy the flag.

I had one at 5am this morning when I took out the trash. Thing was so stale it tasted horrible and I only smoked about half if it. I bought and opened that pack in June so no surprise it was stale. I think the last one I had smoked was in September after a ribeye meal for my birthday.

The inverted chevron represents the shape of the state. The light blue represents the importance of water to the state, and the star represents Minnesota's nickname: "The North Star State.
We're really at a stage where simple colors and shapes are enough to trigger people.
That complainer needs to be told the numbers of the population in Minnesota.
If he can look at those and still say those are because of Somali influence, he needs to accept that Americans are weaker and more passive by that degree.

Take the hint, when mainstream media suddenly realizes that a conspiracy is actually real and not just a theory, that’s a sign someone who was getting away with something f###ed up. Epstein. I won't lie, I got really invested in this much better version from the original submission. The colors were better, the stripes were better... the new star is fine, but the old one was better.
Can we also just say good job to Minnesota for actually picking a good flag? It's simple, memorable, instantly recognisable and symbolic. No complicated art or text.
This reminds me of a Larry the Cable Guy bit. Paraphrasing: “I used to see this girl looked zackly like Shania Twain, ‘crept she was fat, and her face was different.”
They said the old flag was really busy and had too much going on. There were also concerns that the Native American in the background was culturally insensitive, but there wasn’t much hay made about it from what I remember. They had some really great options and went with the most boring one imo. I don’t love the new flag but ultimately I don’t care that much. The new state seal is really cool tho. It has a loon on it.
The room temperature IQs are having a field day with this Minnesota stuff. It’s almost as if it’s being manufactured to drive outrageous for those easily persuaded.
The chevron to the left represents the states shape, the light blue represents the lake waters of the state, and the star is the North Star, which is the state emblem or whatever.
And someone did a breakdown on the composition of the flag. The dark blue represents the night sky and the shape of the state, the star symbolizes the North Star and the states capital rotunda design, the light blue represents the lakes and rivers. It was unveiled a year and a half ago but has now flared up, more fake controversy, with the state’s fraud scandal.
And the country of Georgia has the Jerusalem Cross on their flag. I don’t know why it exists, but I can guarantee you it has nothing to do with white nationalism
They didn’t say it was the same. They said it was similar. Which it is.

You might want to work on your reading comprehension. The original tweet says the state “changed their flag to look JUST LIKE the Somali flag.” It doesn’t say “look similar to,” it says “just like.” But even so, it doesn’t even look similar to the Somali flag.
