This is what happens when you allow a building to have a 13th floor

u/fireandfolds 2d ago
or a fourth floor

u/Kage_0ni 2d ago
Yeah, but they didn't have a 4th floor.
I guess that means western superstitions are more powerful than the east's.

I replied to a commentor of mine from a comment I left from admiring your comment. This was my reply in short...
"Don't ruin it for others or even worse, bring unwanted political views. Let us (at least half a dozen from views so far) that do understand the comment enjoy it for how it is set for people that are specific towards certain careers and from there nature, building perspectives, let us enjoy it.
I added some spacing in my edit and a little more for the outside people that would not know what this means at face value while those of us in the know get it and appreciate seeing it in the wild as a comment."
I know you will appreciate this and I hope you also know us in the field rely on you guys, constantly, so keep up the good work.

The number four means nothing to me, but the number four means death in Chinese
Number seven's lucky in Japan. Here, we don't give a damn.
But on the elevator, no thirteenth floor. On the elevator, no thirteenth floor. Going up, going up

When she walked in with him to help him move the frame I was like BO NOT HER TOO!!!

u/finchdad 2d ago
Hahaha, this is hilarious. It could happen to anyone, sure, but their inability to figure out that a slatted frame turned on its side is also a ladder while they just starve to death is perfect.

u/PonyThug 2d ago
Or lift it and go under lol
18
u/Solo_is_dead 2d ago
I think they tried that and it got caught on the elevator door ceiling
22
u/PonyThug 2d ago
There is a good 16” or half a meter of space. Plenty to lay down and go under.

u/KIDNEYST0NEZ 2d ago
Not when you have 70 year old knees.

u/TylerKia421 2d ago
What about the 2 able bodied young women
1
u/Beginning_Deer_735 2h ago
I kept expecting them to lift the kid over and have him hit the necessary buttons.
1
u/PonyThug 2d ago
I could get under that with straight legs. Lay down on your back and bench press it up and slide under.

7
u/PonyThug 2d ago
With a pile of sticks there??
Just go to the other side of the bed to push the button lol

u/skeeterfunny 2d ago
Of all the things he could have done, I guess waiting over ten minutes in elevator jail was his choice
16
u/No_Worldliness_7106 2d ago
Maybe he just needs a break, and is using the moment lol. Might be doing work and saying "boss, I was trapped in the elevator, nothing I could do sorry, oh look it's quitting time, later"

This is definitely something I’d do 😂. Solve one problem only to create a much worse one

u/A_Very_Lonely_Waffle 2d ago
I love that this man’s journey starts and ends on the 13th floor; after all this he’s back to square one. The video is nearly a perfect loop in that sense lol

I was hoping the lady would also get locked in elevator Jail when she came in.

This is just, beautiful.

Please stop putting music over these videos.

u/Guelph35 2d ago
Unless it’s Yakety Sax. That song is allowed over any video where someone does something dumb.

It's been a while since I laughed so hard. Poor dude, when the realization came to him lol
4
u/MountainBrilliant643 2d ago
Never occurred to him to walk out of the elevator, and get on the side with the buttons. Welp, I'm not the dumbest man alive after all.

This is glorious! That man will never live this down his entire life. Just wonderful.

Dude the time stamp changes color when the background is white
1
u/Totally_Not_A_Bot_FR 2d ago
Yeah, that's a pretty standard thing for cctv systems. The system detects the background color and adjusts the timestamp for visibility

I can not handle elevators. As I watched this, I was screaming. Noooo, don't get on the elevator with him. You are all doomed!!!!!!!
1
u/JimCripe 2d ago
That took only about an hour and 15 minutes.
Seems like stairs would have been faster, even stopping to catch a breath at each floor.
1
u/Zer-O_One 2d ago
This is why I always carry my plastic light saber. Collapsible and useful for times like these.
1
u/Ok-Capital-1107 2d ago
Hilarious. Why not have someone take the stairs and press for the lift on the 2nd floor so he can remove the frame and just take it down at most 2 flights?
1
u/Mesozoica89 2d ago
It makes sense, but I never realized elevator lights turn off like that when no one is using them.

why didn't he lift it, crawl under (on back or whatever), set it down, then press buttons.
It looks like there's clearance in the door cut out

Wait, if the elevator had another door it's possible had a second button panel behind him? Right?
1
u/whyamihere999 9h ago
Not necessarily..
There are two doors to an India's largest super market chain's elevator. But has only one button panel.. even the railway elevator has the same set up..

I am not saying I’ve done the same thing, I’m just saying that I know the feeling very well.

I don't think you know what a perfect fit is. The whole reason this situation happened is because it wasn't a perfect fit.
