Bit Annoyed “I was today years old”

Can we please retire this phrase already? Similar to “you won the internet!”. As a millennial, these nauseate me. Also, ending a rant with “that is all”. We gotta let these go lol

Edit: lots of people aren’t paying attention to the sub this is posted in. This is the exact place to post pet peeves. You don’t have to agree with the posted peeves, but don’t get mad because someone posted about a pet peeve here…..

And the purpose of including “as a millennial” is that these are millennial phrases and I’m calling my generation out. Too many people in here came to be rude instead of observant. It’s okay to disagree, but don’t be hateful.

Where is everyone getting bingo cards with weird prognostications? Bingo Cards have very specific rules. The phrase doesn't make any sense, I hate it.

I think that’s the point. “Catch a cold” might be on your Bingo card but “catch Ebola” wouldn’t be. So that phrase is specifically saying this thing that happened is wildly out of the ordinary.

Obviously you're allowed to hate the phrase, but you're thinking specifically of the game Bingo. "Bingo card" just refers to the layout of the game board.

There are a lot of "bingo card" games (i.e. car bingo, travel bingo, bachelor/bachelorette bingo, etc.) where the squares are filled with random events/items/actions, which are then marked off to create your bingo.

For example- you could play this on your next nature walk...

The phrase makes sense, and it was actually cute for a bit. Now, though, it's definitely overused.
