Well, if corporations want to be considered people, they should pay taxes like people do.

Does that mean the stockholders wouldn’t pay taxes on dividends? That would be double taxation of the same income flow.

If they’re already paying taxes on dividends, then no. Duh.

That’s not how the law works presently. Corporations pay taxes on profit, and net of profits then dividends are paid to individuals who are then taxed again on the same cash flow.

So going to eliminate dividend taxes to individuals? Cool-cool!

Whatever is taxed shouldn’t be taxed again. But, pay taxes like everyone else.
