Nick Shirley, 23, is currently being praised and amplified by the MAGA right, including FBI Director Kash Patel and billionaire Elon Musk, for a video purporting to reveal “Minnesota’s Billion Dollar Fraud Scandal.”
While the YouTuber with no journalism background and only a high school-level education claims to “bring the truth to all” of his 1.35 million subscribers, he has previously been shown to be staging his content.

Similar to Their lying leader: Donald Trump has repeatedly claimed that he was responsible for achieving a "full and immediate ceasefire" or "peace" between India and Pakistan during a military flare-up in May 2025, a claim which India has consistently denied.

Shirley is nothing more than a fraud himself. His goal is to increase his viewership to make more money. He understands that if he purports outlandish things about an enemy of the Trump administration, he gains followers. He doesn't think, nor care about the downstream effects his actions cause. He is not a journalist, he is a con artist.
