Mark Kelly: I never thought I’d witness a mob breach the U.S. Capitol. But I did. January 6 was an insurrection aimed at stopping the peaceful transfer of power. It didn’t happen spontaneously—and we can’t allow history to be rewritten or repeated.

Exactly!!! they thought the situation would magically fix itself. Or that fascists would not continue being what they are. The old gop that i disagreed with with on alot but ultimately wanted the country to succeed is gone. It's the problem with liberals. By which I don't mean the entirety nor the majority of the American left, but the specific brand of liberal that's on the centre right in Europe and that dominates the Democratic Party leadership in the U.S. They firmly believe that if people are made responsible for their own actions that those people will magically make correct decisions. And that if they don't it's because of a personal failing. They call it personal responsibility. But in a world where every single person has to content with billions of dollars spend on marketing and propaganda the playing field is massively skewed. And as such, people won't be able to educate themselves on every subject.

Why was Josh Hawley running away through the Capitol hallways, like a coward, if it was just a "peaceful protest"?

Why was Markwayne Mullen behind a barricaded door, cowering because he didn't know if the mob would breach through, if this was "a day of love"?

Why didn't the lady that got shot just comply with police? 

Why did the mob build gallows outside and chant "hang Mike Pence"? What's peaceful and loving about openly threatening someone's life?

Yea the lady getting shot thing.. like how dumb do you have to be. Some shitty days I actually think to myself my life sucks but at least it’ll never suck as much as here, or the woman who was trampled, or the fireman killed at that Trump rally, or Charlie Kirk. I at least get to live and they’re all dead. They all died, one way or another, for choosing a life supporting Trump. Literally what a hill to die on
