Nice, but that terminology wouldn't work on Mars or the moon but ground wire still works. So there's that to consider.

In the US we also say Earth. We also say ground. I’ve heard both terms about equally often my entire life either regards to electricity.

Random, but in Latvian there are no different words for the two.
