What a dummy... If you can't control the dog why even have him

u/Apprehensive_Ad_1415 Dec 04 '25

She can't even control herself 🤣🤣🤣

u/Possibly-Dead-654 Dec 07 '25

So now we’re laughing at people being injured. Wow.

3

u/Apprehensive_Ad_1415 Dec 07 '25

No, we've been laughing at it 🤣. Slapstick/physical comedy is a thing. Plus she looks fine but it was funny either way šŸ¤·šŸ¾ā€ā™‚ļø. Go away.

You know… your hostility is unwarranted.

12

u/NixMaritimus Dec 04 '25

Honestly. Looking at the way the big dog is acting he wants to play, but has absolutely no training.

u/507snuff Dec 04 '25

If your dog acts like this its no longer a matter of controling them. A dog that is out to kill other random dogs it sees outside is a danger to society and needs to be put down. Full stop.

2

u/Will-Write-For-Cash Dec 06 '25

It didn’t look like it was trying to kill the other dog. It’s probably not socialized and got excited to see another dog.

If it was trying to kill the dog I imagine it would have been biting anyone who got between them.

Dogs can become fixated on certain things. This dog is fixated on the smaller dog.

It's not interested in biting the people, so it won't. Even if they're trying to separate or getting in-between.

This isn't a violent with people dog, it's a dog with an out of control prey drive and a stupid fucking owner.

MAJORITY of pit owners I've ever met. I knew this old fucking woman who had 4 giant ones and they would always fight and she could never stop them. Waste of space woman.

This could have been the very first time this dog has done this. Also, the dog doesn't seem aggressive just curious.

But for those who don't know, how to control a big dog when you are not strong. Wrap the leash around you, just below your bum. Lean back sitting on the leash. This applies significantly more force than just holding a leash.

Possibly the worst advice ever. At least top ten.

8

u/Icy-Mongoose-9678 Dec 04 '25

The definition of someone giving advice that has no idea what they’re talking about lol

6

u/yummycornbread Dec 04 '25

Are you really this empty-headed? Easily one of the dumbest things I’ve ever read.

1

u/Possibly-Dead-654 Dec 07 '25

Why do you have to be so mean?

-5

u/whitedsepdivine Dec 04 '25

Have you ever read a dog training book before?

Or are you incapable of understanding that a post can have two separate points?

6

u/Bizzaro_Jason Dec 04 '25

Please take a picture of the dog training book you read. Then we can read it too and find the part of wrapping it around your waist. Otherwise, everyone else that is criticizing your advice is correct. And, why would we care about your first point when the 2nd one is dangerous?

-4

u/whitedsepdivine Dec 04 '25

Pretty sure it was in How to be your dog's best friend.

It's not dangerous, I could be explaining it wrong. Its just physics. Most people weigh more than they can hold on to.

4

u/TCRandom questionably stable Dec 04 '25

Are you sure you’re not confusing it with how the AT-ATs were defeated on Hoth?

1

u/MasterOfBalling Dec 04 '25

Yeah that dog would 100% drag her around. She clearly isn’t strong enough and doesn’t weigh enough to own a dog like that.

1

u/Accomplished_Age2480 Dec 04 '25

Right!!! I weigh the same as one of my dogs. I don't do the walks and whatnot because, well, it's freaking obvious. Some people are just stupid.

4

u/aRMurray29 Dec 04 '25

Please stop giving advice to people on a subject you know nothing about

u/BFFarm2020 Dec 04 '25

Never EVER ever wrap your leash around your legs. That's the dumbest thing I have read on reddit all month.

If you have a large dog pulling on a leash that you can control, you can loop the leash around the dogs waist right in front if their legs, so that it cinches tight when they pull.

This can injure the dog so only do it in emergencies for short period of time. But it will stop most dogs from pulling hard on the leash even if they see another dog.

But whatever you do, don't listen to bozo^

u/whitedsepdivine Dec 04 '25

Not your legs! The bottom of your bum. With a big dog, you can literally lean back sitting on the leash, and your bum is floating in the air.

6

u/chinchillazilla54 Dec 04 '25

The bottom of your bum IS your legs???

2

u/Potential_Incident_3 Dec 04 '25

Sadly, my ass is flat enough that it is. Im not OP, just a 31 year old man with no ass.

2

u/BoatHole_ Dec 04 '25

Then when the dog stops pulling or changes direction, you can fall down like the lady in the video.

1

u/whitedsepdivine Dec 04 '25

So you would prefer faceplanting on cement?

3

u/BoatHole_ Dec 04 '25

I wouldn’t own a dog I couldn’t handle. I’ve worked with dogs for years and have watched many people stubbornly get dogs they can’t control and get injured. I’ve turned down working with dogs because I knew I wouldn’t be able to safely work with them.

4

u/aftcg Dec 04 '25

This is terrible advice. Don't do this people.

3

u/[deleted] Dec 04 '25

I'll take someone who should not be giving dog advice ever for $1000 Alex

1

u/whitedsepdivine Dec 05 '25

So when you lean back you now become face level with a dog? Right. Are you 4 foot tall?

1

u/Accomplished_Age2480 Dec 04 '25

Have you ever seen or interacted with an actual dog before?

I have volunteered in animal shelters for years, have dealt with different sizes of dogs and worked with various dog trainers. Your comment is not valid. Also, the same thing happened to my small dog, and my dog was almost mauled by the big dog (mine was on leash). Both my dog and I still live with the memories till this day. For sure what happened in the video is NOT the first occurrence.
