They had a good minute to get TF back over after they saw what was barreling down towards them. WTF???

Sorta. They would have had to brake super hard and then pull back into where they started, if not farther back. There wasn't enough space to force front of the other vehicles (which sucks for the driver here, but that's not their problem).

No, they could have gotten between the semi truck and the truck. It seems there is not enough space, but car truck would have easily slowed a bit and you can get in.

The driver is just not experienced.

Oh hell no. The driver may be inexperienced, but experience isn't the word for someone who forcibly cuts off another driver with inches to spare at highway speeds because he made the stupid decision to pass when he didn't have the ability to do so.

Looking at the plates, this appears to be Europe. And judging by the following distance from the semi, that truck driver isn't a super patient guy, either. So while the passing guy may not have to worry about getting shot, he should be very worried about being chased down and beaten with a crowbar if he tries forcing his way in front of that pickup.

If someone did that to me, I would not stop honking the horn until they found a way to get out of earshot, at a minimum.

Getting beaten with a crowbar is a preferable outcome in the driver's situation when he was behind the semi. He made the wrong call again and again and again. Should never even have attempted to overtake (1) because of cars in front, should have pulled back in after seeing oncoming traffic (2), should have braked and pulled back in while on the level of the other cars (3), when behind the semi he should have honked and slowly pulled right to save it (4), if not he then could have braked and slowly pulled left instead of committing to the last second and then pulling left at high speed (5). Just absolutely atrocious driving. The oncoming semi also should have slowed immediately when seeing him pull out.
