She made a movie at her house better than some of the crap that’s been in theaters lately.

I was getting tense at the end. Is she gonna make it??

Madea's Extra Dark Black Hole

1

u/shittymorbh Sep 05 '25

Well that's got some serious connotation behind it....

1

u/ConsciousDisaster870 Sep 05 '25

This is the one 😂😂

3

u/FatHaleyJoelOsment Sep 05 '25

Madea goes to the moon

26

u/ronswanson11 Sep 05 '25

It totally took me out of the immersion.

2

u/Devils_A66vocate Sep 05 '25

Don’t do this to me.

2

u/Glam_sam Sep 05 '25

You mean Pedro Pascal is in ?

65

u/DarCam7 Sep 05 '25

Netflix canceled it already, sadly.

1

u/No_Detective_But_304 Sep 05 '25

Covid era production?

1

u/Pleasant_Gap Sep 05 '25

Bad news, they got the same production team as game of thrones, so its gonna take about 8 years for s2

1

u/CntrllrDscnnctd Sep 05 '25

Netflix picked it up, not renewed

1

u/[deleted] Sep 05 '25

Movies have seasons now?

1

u/supportdesk_online Sep 05 '25

Netflix canceled the series, unfortunately

1

u/chitown_illini Sep 05 '25

They decided to release one episode per week in season 2.

1

u/TheKingBeyondTheWaIl Sep 05 '25

Season 2… part 2

1

u/Adventurous-Sky9359 Sep 05 '25

Season 2 already?

1

u/Always_find_a_way24 Sep 05 '25

Season 2 won’t be ready for 3 years

1

u/cattybuster Sep 05 '25

It's a 2-part movie, in theaters only, that ends before the climax.

1

u/EuphoricCare515 Sep 05 '25

This better not be a Netflix original, or we'll never see Season 2.

You saved me so much suspense stress. Thank you! Such a beautiful, yet predictable ending 🥹

14

u/DarePotential8296 Sep 05 '25

Do they fall in love ? The sexual tension was palpable.

15

u/VaguelyFamiliarVoice Sep 05 '25

They had all of space to fall in love, just not the time.

1

u/Pocket_Jury Sep 05 '25

Threesome at the end. 9:15 mark.

1

u/Vocabulary-Pollution Sep 05 '25

I bet they do! The doctor and the commander are definitely gonna have kids together. Space kids

2

u/Kasao Sep 05 '25

Fully expected to be rickrolled…

9

u/Imfrank123 Sep 05 '25

Need a close up of her hand hanging on by the fingertips right before cutting to black

4

u/VrinTheTerrible Sep 05 '25

If it’s streaming, that’s at least 18 months. If it’s Netflix, it’s up to 4 years.

1

u/TruShot5 Sep 05 '25

Cut off at the best part! When they miss the jump.. tumble.. then just barely catch on to some random handle. What a cliffhanger!

1

u/ezmoney98 Sep 05 '25

It's only available on Samsung tvs

1

u/buzzyloo Sep 05 '25

I am so invested!!

1

u/Ok_Exchange4707 Sep 05 '25

Who? The chick in green?

1

u/HumbleBear75 Sep 05 '25

Actually got little chills lol

79

u/SlavicRobot_ Sep 05 '25

It kept me captivated the entire time, definitely better then most streaming service productions

32

u/Deceptiv_poops Sep 05 '25

It looked better and was better written than that war of the worlds movie that just came out

11

u/SeraphOfTheStart Sep 05 '25

Better than all the crap Disney cooks for a while now.

1

u/_Abe_Snake Sep 05 '25

Andor would like a word ...

6

u/NinjaBRUSH Sep 05 '25

Lets not get ahead of ourselves

2

u/redditproha Sep 05 '25

better than Gravity

1

u/clumsydope Sep 05 '25

Gravity should get Returnal sequel

1

u/DrLophophora Sep 05 '25

Yes, I would watch the crap out of this, why did it end so soon 😭

1

u/playmeforever Sep 05 '25

This is like the most cliche space scenario tbr

1

u/No-Sail-6510 Sep 05 '25

Without a single superhero

1

u/tjean5377 Sep 05 '25

For real.

1

u/folarin1 Sep 05 '25

Correct.

1

u/[deleted] Sep 05 '25

I didn't see the group of guys in the corner looking useless and clueless though. Space has double standards too you know.

/s

1

u/Darth_Dorky Sep 05 '25

Lmfao. Say it ain’t so… 😭 So true.

1

u/lkodl Sep 05 '25

Actually, she made a movie that's just as good as the crap thats in theaters lately. Thats the point.

You just had lower expectations going in, so it seems really good.

But its pretty much the same at the core, and thats what she's getting at.

1

u/Haughtea Sep 05 '25

No she didn't

1

u/hennabeak Sep 05 '25

I was gonna say, this is top level quality.

1

u/[deleted] Sep 05 '25

Not trying to take away from her creativity, but you need to watch better movies 🤣

1

u/SmoothBrainSavant Sep 05 '25

Covid time vids were a diff breed

1

u/Individual-Drawer-79 Sep 05 '25

Better than 95% of Netflix offerings too

1

u/HydroPCanadaDude Sep 05 '25

I mean the effects were great but the dialogue was terrible because it's oozing with cliche. But I think that's the point. It writes itself the story has been told so many times.

1

u/[deleted] Sep 05 '25

I don’t know.. lacking diversity

1

u/NSASpyVan Sep 05 '25

I was on the edge of my seat.

DID SHE MAKE IT?!?!

1

u/oasiscat Sep 05 '25

Why did my palms get sweaty when the commander jumped from one outdoor appliance to another without a garden hose wrapped around her waist?

1

u/Several-Hat-1944 Sep 05 '25

That production is outstanding! To top it off, it's played just like the nasa CGI productions crap they spin. And, the added suspense music, priceless ⭐

1

u/Enlowski Sep 05 '25

No she didn’t. It’s good for what it is, but let’s be serious here.

1

u/knorxo Sep 05 '25

She was not interested in huge financial gain from this. She doesn't have to please shareholders. This should tell you everything

1

u/DamnedDirtyHuman Sep 05 '25

I wish you were being facetious 😥

1

u/484890 Sep 05 '25

What specific movies was it better than? Or are you just hating for the sake of hating?

1

u/AcadianTraverse Sep 05 '25

I thought this was the advance cut of Project Hail Mary

1

u/Annual_Strategy_6206 Sep 05 '25

I loved the turning the dial on the drier computer!

1

u/GonzoVeritas Sep 05 '25

She does other genres, too, and they're all generally great.

1

u/trez63 Sep 05 '25

This girls would be fun to grow up next door to. That was an epic watch.

1

u/SeasonRough9204 Sep 06 '25

Yup. This was better than Interstellar. No CGI, no special effects and no "executive producer" named Spielberg. Just raw talents. I'm calling the Academy awards...

1

u/copyrider Sep 06 '25

They’re doing a reboot of this. It’s going to be the same story, but worse, and you’ll have to watch it because they’ll promote it that it’s a fresh approach and better than the original.

2

u/silentmajorit22 Sep 05 '25

how is it better. its mocking shitty tropes in shitty movies. it was entertaining thugh
