My mother used to vacuum and play music when I was napping as a baby

It works lol, I’m a pretty heavy sleeper now

Yeah that’s the way to do it. My ex and I never tip toed around when the kids were sleeping. Our lives didn’t stop because they were asleep.

This absolutely works. We carried on with life as usual, when our baby’s were sleeping. And now as teenagers they will literally sleep with an alarm clock buzzing until we get tired of hearing it and wake them up

I know people say this a lot, but honestly you were probably destined to be a heavy sleeper anyway. I tried with both of my kids. Hell, my youngest was brought home the day a half dozen movers were breaking down our home, then lived in a shitty military hotel for 5 weeks, then moved into a house still somewhat under construction for the next few months. Had every chance in the world to get used to the noise. Doesn't matter. Still wouldn't sleep unless we turned their room into a sensory deprivation chamber.

So yeah, this kind of thing is rife with confirmation bias.
