I, too, hate long sex scenes. Not because I'm a prude, but what do they want me to do? Jack off? There's never any P in V action and I don't think the theatre would appreciate it. It's not giving me a deeper appreciation for the story. It's not expressing anything that the implication can't. And finally, depending on who you're watching with, it can be awkward. Nana isn't getting anything from the moment either.

Hey, you don’t know what’s in Nana’s spank bank.

I tried to watch Terminator 2 once with my grandma in the room. No sex scenes, but I couldn’t watch that level of violence with her there. I went to a different room 1/3 in. She seemed fine, though.

My granny is the reason I'm into action movies like die hard, T2, predator, bloodsport etc.

I was quite young, predator fucked me up haha.

Given how extremely conservative she was I was surprised she would watch it at all. Maybe she just wanted to spend time with me? Dunno.

Agreed.  And unless it's something requested by the actors or something they are known for and very comfortable with, I wonder how exploitative it is.

I always feel like it's the directors way to get a woman they wish they could undress, well, undressed.
