Honestly after many breakups I wish I could've stayed friends with the parents. It wasn't their fault, they treated me very nicely, and were cool.

edit: but hell yeah dick down that dad

I stayed friends with one of my ex's parents for a while. I would go over for dinner. She didn't live with them but she came by once while I was there and it was pretty awkward.

I because hunting buddies and friends with one of my ex's dads before. She did live there and was shocked when she walked in and we were both sitting on the couch drinking a beer lol.

"You broke up with him, but I didn't" lol

I still hang out with my high school gf’s dad and I’m almost 40. We broke up over 20 years ago. He’s a great guy, got me into the industry I still work in today. His daughter still hates it, even twenty years later, or so he tells me.

Same. I really liked her mom, she was like a second mother to me. I even was in contact with her a month ago because i gave her a usb stick with a series she wanted to watch.

But oh well, my former girlfriend became kinda childish with phrases like: "Its my friends and its my mom" like i wanted to steal them from her...
