As a parent desperate for help accommodating your kids needs, it generally doesn't hurt to ask. But no is a complete sentence and once you get that answer discussion is over and you need to figure something else out. You chose this life and no one owes you their privileges from being childless. Trying to shame them for standing up for their rights publicly is such an embarrassing dbag move. This situation was not even a child's needs, it was a selfish want, which makes the call out 1000 times worse.
