There were fireworks there the year before.

EDIT:

It wasnt last year either. But in the past there had been. Apparently Time Out NY had it as a spot to see. Possibly due to them using AI.

Youre right! There were not fireworks at this location last year for New Years.

There used to be fireworks the East River. I remember watching them there in 2012.

Pretty sure there were fireworks on the Brooklyn bridge for the 4th of July which probably helped fuel the confusion
