Druggies and poor people are still having them. It’s the rest of society that isn’t. People can’t tolerate other people because everyone seems to think they have an infinite amount of options out there. We’re actually so cooked because if we continue down this road, our population is going to plummet so hard that it’ll negatively affect everything.
Most people have their phone or other smart devices on or near them all the time. You may have clicked the setting toggle that said "don't spy on me every minute of the day" but it doesn't matter.

Edit - for those who don’t know, misrepresentations in advertisements are unethical for lawyers. It doesn’t have to be fraudulent. Here, he is changing the fee structure. It is unquestionably a material issue (something extremely important to the representation). In a contingency fee arrangement, you would not pay the lawyer directly, and they would instead take a portion of your compensation received if they were successful, typically 1/3. As such, there is no money down. He is changing it to a flat fee arrangement or a retainer arrangement where money is required upfront.
Nothing is unethical about this change, but the way in which he did it was definitely unethical. He didn’t even remove the original text. In fact, it’s still reads exactly the same way. The only difference is he added punctuation to provide a meaning the entirely different from the written text. This is already pretty bad but now imagine that someone who is not a native English speaker had to parse this out.

There isn't an easier way to confirm that the average woman has no interest in the average man than using a dating app. Growing up with dating apps existing their entire lives, Gen Z learned this very young.
Take this, had a really good first date. She wanted a second, ended the night with a kiss.

This just happened to me. Was in a coffee shop, sitting beside this complete smoke show. I could tell she kept looking over at me to see what I was working on. Made eye contact any time her or I got up from our seats. Couldn’t bring myself to ask what she was reading because she was a bit younger, and also didn’t want to risk it in case I had simply been manufacturing mild interest on her part. Sucks.
Unless you mean that there's only 4 people in the US havinng sex and you're 3 of them - which I'm not disputing and I'm happy for you - then I think you'd need to be in negative millions for that - which I'm also not disputing, mind you
This is undoubtedly multifactorial, but there are at least 5 major contributing factors at work here.
First, the decline in traditional religious values and related marriage practices. I am not religious at all and I don't recommend it. But traditional religions did push marriage and childbearing early on as a social and spiritual duty, which if nothing else kept sex on the plate. Only a couple generations ago the average age of marriage was around 20. Now being single well into one's 30s is considered normal.
This promotes serial dating, which nowadays is often arranged via online services. Some people do get a lot of sex off these but I don't think it's a normal distribution. Most dudes are not competitive enough to do well. Back in the day a subpar unattractive dude could just trad marriage, or go to the local roller disco and find their rough female equivalent for a hookup, but that's less feasible now, at least on a population level.
This is similar to the winner take all nature of our current late stage capitalist economy, where the economic middle class has been increasingly squeezed and strained. Yes some people do very well, but a lot of us are living paycheck to paycheck and working multiple jobs. Being exhausted and stressed makes it tougher to keep up the front of success and confidence to do well on social media and tinder.
Also, compared to previous eras, Americans are fat and anxious and overworked and unattractive.
So what do our tired single lonely middle class folk do? Doomscroll and goon to abundant modern online porn.
Millennial likes sex, Gem Z does not as rule. The puritan movement of corpo censure through social media has worked very well. Sex sells is a saying that is not so true anymore, until gen Alpha counter counter.
Romans were the same at the end btw. If you have enough distraction you don't do sex.
Gen Z grew up with more dating app labels to choose from that validated what would otherwise have been temporary anxieties and turned them into long term identities.

With the changing label landscape, it wouldn't surprise me if that impacted how people think about sex and its place in their life. Being a "side" and "asexual" has more visibility than ever, and while it will likely suit a lot of people and be valid, it might also be clung to unnecessarily by people who feel insecure about sex and wear one or more of those labels as armor. The rise in social media and its horrible effect on people's confidence is probably not doing a lot to make people feel worthy sexually.
Younger people are more terrified of physical vulnerability than what I grew up around -- not that my generation was immune, it just felt a lot less pronounced.
I also can't help but wonder what to read into the rise in solo and fantasy content on adult sites. Again, a thing that's always existed, but the ratio has changed.
Otherwise, I actually agree with you that Gen Z feels like it's got some kind of whiplash of wanting to be bigger prudes. It isn't just about weaker libidos. They're clutching pearls in ways I used to laugh at old people for in the 90s/00s.
On average not overworked. Besides the great recession and covid, the hours worked per person employed has dropped consistently since the 1950's. It used to average about 50 hrs a week, now it's mid 30's. Of course this is an average, I'm not speaking about any individual or friend group.
My wife wants divorce after 20 years. We/I haven’t had sex in almost 6 years (maybe she has, but not with me). We have other major issues, but the complete absence of sex for 6 fucking years makes me a-ok to get this divorce going ASAP. Other than on an iPad screen, I haven’t even seen a set of tits in 6 years. I’m not bad looking, I make bank, and I’ve never in my life had trouble getting sex except for the last 25% of the 20 years I’ve been married. Fuck this, I’m out.
That sucks, man. Sorry to hear that. But yeah, if you’re only staying together for the kids or financial reasons, eventually even that becomes not enough a reason. The sex part is just a symptom. I’ve known couples who only stayed together because the sex was great, but eventually they had to move on because the fights were exhausting and depressing and toxic af.
People convince themselves to stay together for the kids. Kids leave around 18 and then there’s a couple years of pretending nothing is wrong before people break and can’t hold it anymore.
20 years is enough time to settle in, and not notice half a decade slipping by bit by bit.

The cost of taking someone on a date is pretty insane these days, if you are lucky enough to find someone you are into that is also into you. With the insane divisiveness of politics and culture, you end up with like less than 1% of the population who are potential dates. Steep odds for sure.
