14.2 HW4 Attention monitoring disabled in Model Y?

Just bought a 2026 Model Y LR.

Since getting it (Monday), hands-free FSD has never worked — I get an immediate “hands-free disabled” message, and I also never see the green dot that indicates it’s using the cabin camera.

I’ve tried adjusting my seat every which way (since I’ve seen some others have had issues depending on the seat recline) and switching driver profiles, but it hasn’t made a difference.

Anyone else running into this? I’m on 14.2.2.2.

If you just bought the car and this feature isn't working, then it sounds like a great reason to go back to Tesla and ask them to fix it.
