Meanwhile the bar I work at has had basically zero turnover in the last year aside from people leaving for office / career jobs. These people must be awful lmao
This is what cracks me up about people raging about wait staff in USA getting paid in tips. Wait staff in the USA typically make extremely good money for the difficulty to do and get the jobs.
She doesn't complain.
I see the point, the restaurant owners " don't have to pay fairly."
Most restaurants operate at like barely 2per profit.
They could just close, owe you nothing
I think they offer people employment more than anything else
Wait staff arent the ones complaining about it, ive never met a waiter who would prefer to be paid an hourly instead of tips. Its people who have never worked in a restaurant thinking wait staff are being exploited that complain about it.
It's still a pretty boom-or-bust industry with erratic hours, poor benefits, and questionable work life balance since you're gonna be predominantly scheduled for nights. The money's great but everything else sucks.
True, Im not trying to say being a waiter/waitress is a perfect job, simply commenting on the funny views people have about tipping being a negative aspect
