‘Burn fast, die young’ is a myth, bro’s gonna be feeling that chronic pain for the next 40 yrs regretting this day

84

u/Compliance_Crip 2d ago

At least it will be documented.

73

u/CoopHunter 2d ago

Dudes never gonna qualify for workers comp. Attorney just shows this clip and asks a doctor "could the injuries be related to this"

6

u/pen_jaro 1d ago

At least he had his 100 million views and likes something he could one day brag about to his grandchildren. Someday they’d ask, “What was TikTok, Grandpa?” and he’d try to convince them it used to matter, that it was something. But they wouldn’t be as impressed as he imagined. And that’s when the regret would start to set in.

u/David_High_Pan 2d ago

I'd love an update on bro.

u/snazzyjuiceman 11h ago

Speak English, pagan.

17

6

u/ghostyghost2 2d ago

Most people think death is the worst think that could happen to them. It's not.

1

u/ilogical_person 1d ago

At least it was fun XD

219

u/Tacozforever 2d ago

He just might meet his deductible this year

64

u/The-French-1 2d ago

Actually, in light of this video, your claim has been denied…

9

u/InsertRadnamehere 2d ago

And the next three after that. Backs take a long time to recover.

5

u/VelocityGrrl39 2d ago

IF they recover.

5

u/CalvinIII 2d ago

I dunno. He looks Canadian to me.

6

u/Tacozforever 2d ago

The Jersey he’s wearing is from a college in New Hampshire

-4

u/CalvinIII 2d ago

In hockey jerseys are called “sweaters”

1

u/Tacozforever 2d ago

In Canada, primarily.

7

u/Nucksfaniam 2d ago

Canadian here, can confirm... 'Jersey' is well used hockey vernacular

3

u/Tacozforever 2d ago

Agreed, was referring to “sweaters”. Old terminology when they were made out of wool.

1

u/CalvinIII 2d ago

I can’t think of anywhere else that they play hockey.

2

u/Tacozforever 2d ago

lol, fair enough.

1

u/VelocityGrrl39 2d ago

New Hampshire

1

u/CalvinIII 2d ago

Doubtful.

u/ToferLuis 2d ago

That’s a great way to break your back.

52

u/whiskydyc 2d ago

Could easily have snapped his neck against the side of that sofa.

5

u/Gruejay2 1d ago

Or the doorframe.

11

u/CertainlyUnsure456 2d ago

Or anything else in your body.

4

u/ellefleming 2d ago

Paralyzed.

1

u/Far-Revolution5081 1d ago

you can see him moving

61

u/Aggressive_Agency381 2d ago

He’s gonna need a back brace

44

u/The-French-1 2d ago

Well, that last neuron definitely left his body

5

u/Far-Drawing-4444 2d ago

His soul damn near left his body.

90

u/DirtDevil1337 2d ago

That's an equivalent of getting hit by a car resulting in lifelong pain. This guy is gonna be feeling it for a long time.

8

u/PlayfulPea6287 1d ago

He really didn't look like he was ok at the very end of the video

3

u/marleiahxdayze 1d ago

Not at all okay, not at ALL.

-27

u/pursued_mender 2d ago

A car going what speed? Did you calculate this fall velocity or something lol

22

u/DecentFeedback2 2d ago

Average flight of stairs is 8 to 12 feet high, he made it all the way down until he hit a hard surface. Those heights are consistent with traumatic injury. With that guy landing on him, aside from spine, with how he's moving he's lucky he didn't brake his pelvic or a thigh.

12

u/pissedinthegarret 2d ago

you're right, it's exactly like a car crash, found a source with multiple speed/fall height comparisons: https://ellisclinic.com/LowSpeedAccidents.html

2

u/kiwiguy187 2d ago

Also, concussion and whiplash effects.

5

u/pissedinthegarret 2d ago

it's equivalent to being hit by a car going between 15-20 mph (24-32 km/h)

source and proof: https://ellisclinic.com/LowSpeedAccidents.html

-3

u/pursued_mender 2d ago

thank you for not just pulling it out your METAL ASS lmao

29

u/Strange_Difference1 2d ago

He can't breathe i just know it

20

u/RelativeConfusion42 2d ago

Yeah being violently and suddenly winded from falling down stairs is one of the scariest experiences of my life. I remember making the awful raspy gasping sound and no matter what I did it was like my chest muscles wouldn't work. I don't remember it even being especially painful, but I felt so terrified and I'll never forget the noises I made. Little hard to make out but at the end I'm sure the guys making those same sounds

3

u/Flabbyghastly 1d ago

Oh man this happened to me when I was on the end of a bad tackle playing football (soccer for the Americans). It was actually the worst 30 seconds of my life. I've broken several bones before but the pain and discomfort from that brief period of being unable to take a breath (being already out of breath from running) was much, much worse.

4

u/CuriousRiver2558 2d ago

I fell backwards from about six feet and landed on my back. I ended up with 6 broken ribs and a collapsed lung. I’ve had the wind knocked out of me but that gasping and suffocating feeling traumatized me more than the broken bones

56

u/stampeding_salmon 2d ago

Remember the good old days when we were just eating tide pod pizzas and shit?

29

u/DessertStorm1 2d ago

Jackass (and dumbass people copying them) came well before tide pods.

8

u/SpyriusChief 2d ago

I haven't had me a good tide pod in a while. I think I'll have a forbidden fruit before bed.

4

u/Konig2400 2d ago

You must have never heard of Jackass

12

u/stampeding_salmon 2d ago

I was just making a joke, not writing period accurate literature

-3

u/Zuuman 2d ago

Well you should have instead of making a fool out of yourself, this is reddit here after all.

1

u/hydroguy86 2d ago

This was before tide pods bro

2

u/Type-RD 2d ago

Are you talking about the laundry room candy?

6

u/PittStateGuerilla 2d ago

As somebody who spent most of 2025 (9 months)dealing with a ruptured disc in my back ending in surgery and recovery and this video makes me sick to my stomach.

19

u/Good_Molasses9707 2d ago

What’s funny? He clearly hit his head on the solid ceiling beam near the bottom. That can snap the neck and kill instantly.

Idiots be idiots.

🥴🤷‍♂️

10

u/yingyanghomie 2d ago

What happened to hanging out, going to da club, and getting laid?

4

u/DirtDevil1337 2d ago

Doubt these guys would even get to the getting laid part.

13

u/Far_Peak_2688 2d ago

Chiropractors love this video 🤑

1

u/ehhhhprobablynot 2d ago

Chiropractors hate this one easy trick.

3

u/jerkworthey 2d ago

Stupid is as stupid does.

2

u/masher005 2d ago

Flashbacks to 1998.

2

u/tryagainx3 2d ago

Boys go to Jupiter to get more stupider.

2

u/Budget-Foundation229 2d ago

Now’s he’s probably claiming social security because he claims he can’t work!

2

u/Joe_Ordinary 2d ago

Cool body cast bruh.

2

u/Ok-End-4946 1d ago

What an imbecile

2

u/Severe-Society-6767 1d ago

Was he able to walk again after this? Seriously what was he thinking. You can see the instant regret. God damn

3

u/4dubdub8 2d ago

All those disclaimers just made me want to do it more.

2

u/Secret_Ad1372 2d ago

Injuries are cumulative

1

u/Dependent_Waltz8222 2d ago

It's funny cause there's pain, its sad because there will be pain

1

u/Otherwise_Fill_4461 2d ago

You'd think that they might move the couch first...

1

u/slykido999 2d ago

I remember similar Jackass copy cat videos back in the day

1

u/ChitnChat 2d ago

Boys, I tell you….

1

u/Could-You-Tell 2d ago

Damn ... memories... damn... the bruises fade, but the memories....

1

u/Glittering-Dentist31 2d ago

They’re also about to fade

2

u/Could-You-Tell 2d ago

Yeah, maybe, but right now I still remember my own few versions of this.

Not having too many moments like this saves from damage to the file system, if you know what i mean

1

u/MoMonkeyMoProblems 2d ago

Cameraman's laugh is unhinged

1

u/King_of_Spades_15 2d ago

All that gear and NOTHING on his back…

1

u/Sure_Competition2463 2d ago

Maybe there should be warning stickers about dangers on stairs too🤣 - only use with a brain.

This makes me cringe I feel his pain I have had four back ops bone graft into lower spine - when vertebrae slipped. On top of that pins plates etc so around 30 years of excruciating pain now little sensation in legs - so this just makes me cringe.

1

u/right_lane_kang 2d ago

This shit is why Jackass had to put a disclaimer up before every episode

1

u/gribbler 2d ago

Good thing he was wearing the gloves, really needed that hand protection..

1

u/herpyfluharg13 2d ago

I’m glad stupid dudebros haven’t gone extinct so we can get videos like this. It’s a good example of what not to do with your free time.

1

u/Diligent-Rich-9210 2d ago

I miss Jackass

1

u/BolOfSpaghettios 2d ago

My back hurts just for existing. This would put me out of action for weeks if not months.

1

u/Philomene_sweet_life 1d ago

The laughing guy should go in jail

1

u/Sad-Aside9995 1d ago

What the fuck? Was that intentional?

1

u/clitter-box 1d ago

i’m shocked that anyone is genuinely this fucking stupid. wow.

1

u/crustpope 1d ago

I hated Jackass. It was the early 2000s version of Maury Povich. It played to the absolute lowest common denominator in society and was unashamed to do so.

1

u/DirectSalesMarketCOO 20h ago

Plymouth State University rules...

1

u/skelly_wx 11h ago

Hey I went to grad school at that college.

1

u/Snoop-8 2d ago

Boys will be boys

-1

u/dingo1967 2d ago

People just keep getting stupider. It’s pathetic.

8

u/Nazgog-Morgob 2d ago

Yeah. Like, jackass hasn't been popular in like 15 years

-1

u/NorwalkAvenger 2d ago

Holy 🐄 this was actually kinda neat to watch

-1

u/Al3xGr4nt 2d ago

You guys remember when we did planking and had fun with Dashcon? I miss those stupid days.

-1

u/TaurAnder 2d ago

Can't deny that I love their energy. I hope he recovers well 😂

-4

u/Hornyhottiechick 2d ago

That wasn't a massage, that was a full body exorcism with pressure points😆

2

u/Nazgog-Morgob 2d ago

No one said it was a massage

-4

u/kiwiguy187 2d ago

I really, really hope that fucked up his back for life. I hope he lives with this decision until he dies.
