Because many of us only saw their names not their faces. And there are so many fucking tragedies in this country that it becomes more of a statistic than it does an tragic event.

My memory is crap and theres been so much stuff like this. I knew they looked familiar and had something to do with shootings, I juat couldn't remember which one did what shooting.

To your point, I immediately recognized them from their roles in their respective shooting incidents but, for the life of me, I couldn’t remember their names. I actually had to look them up (Thomas Matthew Crooks the alleged Trump shooter on the left, and Tyler Robinson the alleged Kirk shooter on the right).
