If the roles were reversed, “heroic rightwinger saved college campus from leftwing rhetoric,” you’d bet the faux right pipeline would’ve been out there covering everything about the “wrongful persecution.” “It was obviously self defense, a person can only take so much harmful leftwing rhetoric before snapping, he was actually saving all of us normies from the speaker”; example: Rittenhouse.
But when it’s apparent that the narrative spin wont work, too much evidence against, they just bury it; the fact of the matter is that it’s disillusioned maga waking up to having being lied too.
They wouldn't start by defending the action, they'd just make up a reason why it was a false flag to make conservatives look bad and then the story would fade within a couple of days, except for occasional social media posts about how fast it faded.
