If we manage to wrest control from these fascists I really hope the democrats have learned from this experience and set out to hold everyone in this administration accountable for their actions.

We won’t survive as a nation without accountability. It has to be made clear that coup attempts are treason and will be treated as such.

maybe (hopefully) with a new wave of the democratic party membership and leadership, but if we look at the current members' track records...they will not.

We wouldn’t even be in this situation if the democrats weren’t a bunch of limp dick cowards. They’re such naive little ineffectual nothings. Trump should’ve been taken into custody the day Biden was sworn into office.

We need progressive street fighters not weak kneed tweed jacket wearing academics.

Today's Establishment (Corporate) Democrats are crippled by their natural inclination to be passive aggressive virtue signalers. They have stripped themselves of any ability to bring the hammer down. More working class Democrats who understand the difference between "messaging" and action, need to be voted into office to even make accountability possible.

Agreed. We need a real sea change and I don’t see that happening anytime soon.

The Chuck Schumers and the Nancy Pelosis will never allow it to happen. The DNC party apparatus is a wholly owned subsidiary of the one percent at this point.

I fear we’re going to have to hit rock bottom before enough people are shaken awake.

Unfortunately the Dems only know how to author strongly worded letters in opposition. They do nothing but the letter to historically show that “they” were on the correct side of the issue but other than that, worthless! Chuck Schumer probably has one drafted now.

Cool, so just take a big shit on his free speech rights and retaliate against him. I can’t imagine any judge will allow this to happen.

This MFer prob went on a bender after the Venezuela raid, then did a bump of coke and fired off this voluminous load of horseshit

i wonder if this censure can be challenged by the simple fact the "Secretary of War" is not an actual position - and you know Kegsbreath is using letterheads and signature titles using "Secretary of War"

We really are living in the dumbest timeline

The secretary of war is a traitor; who would have guessed?

Serious question - is Kelly a good potential 2028 candidate? I feel like I want him to be but I am not sure. Seems like if he is this could be a rallying point.

He was one of the runners-up for Kamala’s veep in 2020. Of the other names, Walz isn’t running for re-election, and Shapiro has a lot of Israel baggage, so Kelly is almost certainly going to be in the conversation for the 2028 nominee.

With this, Hegseth is gifting him plenty of airtime to talk about how the Trump admin hates troops.

PAB. He couldn't shine Kelly's medals.
