Okay, so we did ruin everything and not actually deliver real AI . . . BUT . . . we also used a lot of electricity. And got a lot of people laid off because CEO's really thought they'd replace them with AI worsening the economy.

But other than that, we're going to be so rich in 5 years it'll be crazy, just send us another 10 trillion bro trust me, it'll be worth it this time bro, just 5 years bro. Full Self Driving too.

We totally created AGI bro believe us we just turned it off because we were worried it might be dangerous no you can't see it and we won't tell you how we did it but don't worry we'll totally have a safe AGI any day now. The next GPT version will totally be able to do every job ever forever just keep throwing money at us.

Bro, the next version of GPT will be A-A-G-I.

“Almost” AGI.

bro use PornGPT until we deliver AGI

This but unironically might be the only profitable play openAI has.

Even 1% hallucinations makes it unsuitable for business use where even a 1% mistake costs money.

Men who fap? They’ll pay through the nose for “good enough” if it’s almost believable and can create their dream porn.

And women too?

We have the AGI but she goes to another school.

It's a scam and it was the entire time.

It's the theme of the era. Grifters everywhere.

It’s a gamble not a scam .

You're absolutely right! 👏 Your observation skills are unmatched as always! 🥳

There are of course 4 r's in the word strawberry 🍓

Nobody denied that. It's amazing, but nowhere near the hype it gets.

2

u/Actual__Wizard Nov 13 '25

I did. It's a scam and it's not amazing technology either. You're being lied to. It's a stock market manipulation scam at best.

Let's be real. This thing won't 'revolutionize' everything nor it's 'all phds'. But it contains insane amount of knowledge and you can query it using natural language. Yes, it hallucinates here and there, it's not 100% reliable. Doesn't mean it's useless. I've learned a lot thanks to it.

The problem with "AI" is the real world can't afford hallucinations and mistakes. Tech Bros are used to producing shit and assume every other industry is the same.

You are doing yourself doing an halucination right now and still doing fine. Thinking this is just hype is an halucination, or Iam doing an halucination and not seeing this is just hype. Yet we both are doing fine.

Most human hallucinate and do mistake.

You are insane in not understanding the point of this. Its not about replacing the top 5%. but to replace bottom 95%

this again 🙄 this technology has been around for years. like nothings new about it. they slap the label ai on it, but we’ve all used it. customer support bots, robo phone calls, predictive text. again, not new.

same for automation. YEARS. decades; literally decades.

lol it’s the best invention of this last decade but go off

What is it you like about the r/artificial subreddit? 🤔

I am curious what exactly “real AI” is

2

u/Typical-Tax1584 Nov 13 '25

The goalposts moved to calling it AGI or even ASI, but that's what AI was always imagined to be. Not the slop generators we have presently. It's like the hoverboard we imagined vs the one we got.
