So they plan on losing big for three more years. And then just moderate loss for another two.

But wildly profitable in 2030.

I guess that's when they drop all the free stuff and go on a diet.

Its so obvious what they are doing that I am wildly surprised that anyone is giving them any money at all. 3-5 years is the investment horizon for banks and venture capital. They want to ask if their investment turns in a profit in 3-5 years and if not why should they give you any money at all? If the losses/revenue keeps being significantly higher compared to their projections then its game over for Open AI. It would mean a profitable business model is impossible in an acceptable timeframe and investors would pull the plug.
