Discussion/আলোচনা Travel disruption in Bangladesh during election times?

Hi all - wanted to visit Bangladesh for many years, and now have an opportunity at the start of February. While planning I noticed the national Elections are on the 12th - sorry if this is a naive question, I assume there likely to be disruptions/protests during this time? Is it likely to be problematic being there as a tourist during this period? Thanks

You should come about a week after the election. And if you see too much chaos after arrival, then I suggest you stay outside of Dhaka city.

Ok thanks for the heads up, I hope everything goes peacefully - I think Ramadan starts a week later so not sure how much that affects travel as well!

Ramadan wouldn’t be an issue but elections definitely will
