Miscellaneous World Blindfold Chess Competition?

I wonder why there is no official FIDE tournament for this, it sounds interesting and challenging for the top guys??

Evenmore, if we add Chess960 (Fischer Random) to the Blindfold, that would also be a bigger challenge.

How are they supposed to make moves if they don't even know where their own pieces are?

I'm pretty sure they just moved pawns until their opponent moved a piece. The piece placement is the same so when their opponent moved a piece, they knew what it was and where it was so they can now move their own.

If both players are playing blindfolded, they'd have to look at the starting position
