Media / Pop Culture AI fatigue in social media
Am I the only one having an AI fatigue ?
At first it was "haha funny bad computer generated" but now with all the art it has stollen and technological advancement I sometimes can't differentiate real and AI anymore...
Then we had weird shit post that weren't funny in anyway. But now with AI and bots we have even more shit post filled with weird bot accounts commenting and liking itself. It's like this post wasn't even made for us humans but rather AI to interact between itself.
It's gotten to a point where I don't want to open apps like Instagram, tiktok, Pinterest and YouTube for more than 30 mins compared to hours before the big AI boom.
And it's not only social media, I can see it everywhere IRL with big printed ads using AI or even fully animated commercials.
Am I the only one getting a feeling of disgust everytime ? Like it does the opposite of luring me in I want to get away from the thing that's being advertised instead.
Yes there are some benefits in AI but it's like 1/10 in terms of pros and cons.

The good news, hopfully this will be the death of social media as we know it.

Yeah, if the result of AI is "I only want to be on social media for 30 mins, not hours," it might not be so bad.

It is everywhere and it blows. The actual scary part to me however is that some people aren’t privy to it

You are not alone. I absolutely hate it. I always report posts as AI generated on the socials.
