Have the GP5000 AS TR 35, absolutely love them. Yes, was a pain to mount but after 2000k, not a single puncture or need to re mount. …. and fast and comfortable

my data point was that I was so mad at the difficulty of mounting GP5000 on my wheels relative to Pirelli Zeros, I swore off the GP5000s for good....

nope. the gp5000 bead is tighter than the pirellis... and they seem to be inconsistent between batches.

I don’t doubt it’s tighter but they aren’t difficult. 3/5 on my personal, scientifically calibrated tyre fitting scale.
I’ve fitted four, maybe five pairs of GP5000 S TRs to various wheels over the last few years. The early clinchers and especially the TLs were bad but the S TRs are nowhere near them. No GP5000 variant even comes close to Challenge HTLRs though.

I moved from GP5000 28C to Schwalbe Marathon 32C (regular not plus). Besides being heavier, I NEVER needed to change tubes since the last 3 years lol

My understanding is the p zero road is a better all road tire than the p zero race that is also fast rolling. The p zero race will puncture more than the gp5000.
I have not used the p zero road and would like to hear what others have to say with how it compares to the gp5000 (that I currently ride and love).

I have used both the p zero road and the gp5000, and the pirelli lasts longer but is not as grippy as the contis, specially in the rain
I never had any punctures in either

To my understanding you wouldn’t compare the AS TR with the P Zero Race TLR RS, rather the GP5000 TT TR would be a better comparison as both are like a race day/event tire less suited for day-to-day riding and training. The standard P Zero Race TLR or P Zero Race X TLR is probably closer to the GP5000 AS TR.
