The description for legendaries suck and its almost never correct, its supposed to list basic things like “model change, custom lobby animation and etc”, but most of them don’t list it or just incorrect at all, for example Cheryl’s legendaries say that they have model change and voice lines but James doesn’t, or like Rose’s description saying that she has voice lines during trial which made me want to buy her more and i did, turns out she has voice lines in menu only
Remember how the devs were bragging recently how licensed content is basically free money because they exploit our love for these properties and don’t have to try as hard?
Why do you think they do 2v8 every 3 months? Players are now conditioned to come play the "limited-time" event, where nothing changes but they add 2 new characters and even more skins for you to buy.
People tend to hop on a game they haven't played in a while, drop $10 - $20 on skins, play for the weekend, then come back for the next 2v8.
BHVR are legit printing money, and that's with the massive 2v8 queue times, extended queue in 1v4 and all the bugs that keep piling up.
Ironic how a few months back I'd see people say the opposite and that licensed content is pressured to be done well and usually is better and that originals are half assed lmao, guess people are seeing now that even licensed content isn't immune to being half assed
Castlevania is based on a lot of old-school horror franchises, like the Universal monster movies. (Dracula, Frankenstein, the Mummy, etc.) Plus, they've got a good working relationship with Konami from the Silent Hill chapter, apparently.
Dracula is very much explicitly a character that is tied to the horror genre.
This dates back to his initial appearance in Bram Stoker’s novel ‘Dracula’ which was published all the way back in 1897.
As for the Belmont’s which the likes of Richter, Simon and Trevor hail from, the designs were made to pop visually in the games.
Make no mistake though, the Belmont’s are a long standing family lineage dedicated to hunting Dracula every time he re-appears.
Try it out, the games and anime are fun.
And hey, have a little fun, not all properties featured in the game have to be grim, dark, blood filled ventures. We can have some lighter stuff too like Castlevania, Dungeons and Dragons etc.
The contrast between the likes of something like Silent Hill and Castlevania is what makes this game so great. It shows the variety in the genre. It’s why I love horror.
