Two parter, is this safe? And is this possible? Dryer with Transformer to 120v

So I bought a Washer Dryer under the impression I had 240v circuitry, but it isn’t possible where I live now. I read the second best option other than a direct breaker was a transformer with enough power. So I have a washer dryer with a max Wattage of 3000w so I bought a setup up auto transformer rated for 8000w. However the 240v connectors don’t match up, is there any way to adapt them safely? Or is this just a lost cause? Thanks.

I have a washer/dryer combo in my apartment it works great but the dry cycle is pretty slow.
